As a teacher and consultant Hanson helps others to publish their writings through the University of Maine System’s Continuing Education department and several Maine adult education programs. She also consults with private groups, among them the Design Group at Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine and the nurses at Brunswick’s Mid Coast Hospital, for whom she has taught public speaking.
